Interred with their Bones, by Jennifer Lee Carrell

Okay, so I teach Hamlet (check out David Tennant’s Hamlet, if you haven’t yet!) and couldn’t help but try out this book, which is basically the Da Vinci Code and National Treasure on Shakespeare.  Yes, it reads a bit like a movie, something I usually stay away from, but the story is just good romping fun.  If you’re in the mood to learn some Shakespeare trivia and have a little thrill at the same time, this is the book for you.  Plus, London setting!  I was so delighted to check out the rebuilt Globe Theater on my very first visit to London in 2019.  (That’s tiny me at the top of the steps.)

Use this link to find this book in your local indie bookstore (our book-buying choices matter!).

  1. Took a chance on this one because I also don’t like things that read like a script, but it was definitely worth the read!

    1. I’ve been reading The Other Side of Night, by Adam Hamdy, which seems like it’s similar, so that might be a good one too! I’ll let you know though, lol.
